CBS to air at least two Gator games

CBS Sports and the SEC announced Tuesday that two games were added to the network schedule of fall programming in 2017. A home game against Tennessee and the neutral site Jacksonville game against Georgia will air on the network.

For the 15th straight year, Florida and Georgia will matchup on CBS in a game that is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on October 28.  The Gators have won the last three against Georgia in a game that has been played in Jacksonville for 20 straight seasons and most of the last several decades outside of a stadium rebuild in Jacksonville in the 90’s.

CBS will also be the host network for the home contest with Tennessee which is scheduled for Saturday, September 16. That game is also scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. Florida – Tennessee has aired on CBS in 19 of the last 21 years.

Florida finished ahead of both Georgia and Tennessee a year ago in their second consecutive SEC Eastern Division title, while losing in Knoxville to Tennessee and beating the Bulldogs later in the year.

Florida is scheduled to open up the season against Michigan in Dallas, Texas on September 2, with the game being played on ABC. The matchup between the Gators and the Wolverines is also scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
