Camrin Knight came to Florida via Tallahassee Lincoln HS. A member of Jim McElwain’s first recruiting class, Knight originally committed to Will Muschamp in February before his senior year.
A big blocking tight end at Lincoln, Knight did manage 24 catches for 335 yards over the course of his time with the Trojans.
Having a few down-the-field type pass catchers at the position, Knight was brought in as more of an in-line blocker. He saw the field as a true freshman because of his blocking ability and played in eight games as a freshman, just four as a sophomore.
With the lack of playing time, Knight was moved to linebacker after last season and practiced there this spring. He is way behind at the position, but his big body and athletic ability make him an intriguing fire at the position. Nobody knows what to expect of Knight as we head into the 2017 season.
