OL Leaning to FLA

The Gators love to load up on linemen and an in-stater in leaning their way.

Ryan Carter is one of the top offensive line prospects from the state of Florida. Carter, from Groveland (Fla.) Southlake High School, is 6-5 and 330 pounds. Carter has a few dozen scholarship offers but he has narrowed it down to five lucky schools who will get visits.

"I will visit BYU on October 10th, Oklahoma on November 10th, Florida on November 3rd and Auburn on November 17th, and Kansas State on December 7th,' said Carter. "Florida is my leader. I think there is an opportunity for early playing time there. Plus, when I visited Gainesville and the University of Florida over the summer, I just had a great feeling about that place."

Carter, who describes himself as nasty and aggressive on the gridiron, camped this summer at Florida, Tennessee and BYU. Right now, Southlake is 1-3. In those four games, Carter has graded out at 95% with roughly 60 knockdowns and 35 pancake blocks. Carter bench presses 450 and squats 600. He carries a 3.8 and 1020 SAT.
