You get the feeling that this might be another FSU-UF battle. Even though it seems like the star linebacker will stay in state, he won't name a leader and lists several schools including NC State, Florida, FSU, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota and South Florida. He will be scheduling an official visit to Florida the weekend of 1/11 and just returned from an unofficial trip to Gainesville last weekend. "It was great," McGrew said. "The crowd was really good."
The 6'3", 222-pound defender will trip to Florida State for an unofficial the weekend of 10/13 (FSU-Miami game). He may be pulling for the Noles but that may not mean much if it comes down to Florida State and Florida.
"At first I was a Florida State fan then when my first cousin went to Florida so I kind of switched over to Florida," McGrew said. "After he left I just went neutral. I've had no favorite in college football after that."
