Pope Still Loves FLA

Tight end Leonard Pope still lists Florida and Miami as his two favorites.

The Peach State's top tight end prospect is Leonard Pope. Pope, from Americus (Ga.), is 6-7 and 230 pounds.

"Miami and Florida are still my leaders," said Pope. "They both use their tight ends more than people think. They are two great schools with great coaches and they win. I also like Georgia, LSU, Clemson, Auburn and Florida State."

Pope is playing both ways this season. You would think that at his size, he would play on the DL for the defense. Nope. Pope is playing both safety positions.

"On offense I am mostly just blocking. We do not throw the ball that much. On defense I am playing both free and strong safety. I like it back there. I see the field real well and I love to make the big hits."

Americus is 5-0 on the season.
