A Flood in Florida?

Will LB Kevin Flood choose the Gators or Jackets or someone else?

Kevin Flood is a speedy linebacker from Dallas (Tx.) Kimball High School. Flood is one of the top overall prospects from the Lone Star State. At 6-2 and 207 pounds, Flood runs exceptionally well and is the type of player that plays sideline to sideline and loves to run the passer.

"Those are the two things I do the best," said Flood, "especially rush the passer. I want to make the quarterback afraid. Nowadays, people run away from me so I have to chase everything down."

Last weekend, Flood has an unbelievable game against Port Arthur Lincoln. In a 24-17 loss, Flood recorded 6 sacks, 2 blocked punts and a blocked field goal. Right now, Flood has narrowed it down to three lucky schools.

"Georgia Tech, Florida and Michigan are my final three. I really like Georgia Tech and I feel I have already built a great relationship with their coaching staff. I will take my official visit to Georgia Tech on December 15th. I also really like Florida. Their coaches are great too. I also like their scheme and their engineering school. They are right there with the Yellow Jackets. Playing for Michigan was actually a football fantasy of mine but they are not recruiting me as hard as Georgia Tech or Florida. It will basically come down to the coaching staffs and which one I feel better with."
