Record Setting RB to visit Gators?

One of the top Running Backs in the Nation wants to visit Florida.

Jerius Norwood of Brandon, MS is on the verge of breaking the state of Mississippi's career touchdown mark. "I need 2 to tie it and 3 to break it," said Norwood who had over 1000 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns in only 78 carries, before straining an MCL in the 5th game. "My knee is fine now. I might sit out this week, but I'll be back in the playoffs for sure."

Norwood gave an early pledge to Mississippi State, but he wants to visit Florida. "I was talking with the offensive line coach, and he told me that Coach Spurrier probably wouldn't let me visit if I was committed to another school, but I told him to talk to Coach Spurrier for me, because I really want to visit Florida."

Norwood has helped lead Brandon High School to a 6-0 record. He has 76 total touchdowns in 2 plus years of varsity football. profiled Norwood this summer: Jerius Norwood
