beat out the Gators' star defensive back for the Thorpe Award, presented during ESPN's 2003 College Football Awards Show.
Miami's Sean Taylor was the third finalist.
Strait, who had three interceptions and four fumble recoveries, didn't exactly have the same glaring statistics as Ratliff. Florida's senior finished the regular season with nine interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. He returned two fumbles for touchdowns, as well....
