Gators Trail for Northern OL

Florida trails for offensive line prospect Brian Burgoyn but he has scheduled an official visit to Gainesville.

"I have set up visits to Boston College (11-3), Northwestern (12-7) and Florida (1-18)," said offensive line prospect Brian Burgoyn. "I will also set up a visit to Michigan. They are my leader. They have great academics, great OL tradition and it is just a great program."

Burgoyn, from Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills High Schools, will set up his last visit to Georgia Tech, Michigan State or Penn State.

"I want to major in mechanical engineering and I know Georgia Tech has great academics. I also wouldn't mind living in the city of Atlanta. I also like Florida. In doing some research, I discovered that they have very good academics as well. Plus, I have lived in Pittsburgh all of my life and I would like to live somewhere warm all year around."

Burgoyn, 6-5 and 290 pounds, has 60 pancake blocks on the season. He has graded out between 89-92% in each game. According to Burgoyn, he has 29 scholarship offers including Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Florida, Boston College, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Iowa. Burgoyn carries a 3.9 grade point average and he has already scored a 1060 SAT.
