Rutledge Impressed

One of the hottest prospects in the entire state of Florida is offensive tackle Chris Rutledge from Miami (Fla.) Dr. Krop. He visited UF this weekend. What were his thoughts of being in the Swamp for the first time?

Chris Rutledge made his first trip to the University of Florida and he came home very impressed with what he saw in Gainesville.

"I just got a good feeling about that place," Rutledge said. "The best was when I put on that jersey on and they called my name out of the tunnel. I ran onto the field and just imagined all those crazy Florida fans screaming and yelling. I hear that the Swamp is a crazy place and have never been to a game there.

"I also like the college and academics in general. The staff seems cool and they are the best I have seen and I don't mean to talk down about the teams I have visited. It's not a knock on them at all. Florida seemed that good."

Rutledge, 6-6 and 280 pounds, is from Miami (Fla.) Dr. Krop. He has already visited Pittsburgh and North Carolina State. He visits Miami (1-16) and Rutgers (1-23).

"I really don't know what I am going to do and I don't have a favorite. I want to take these last two visits and decide. All the visits have been nice and different in their own unique way."
