D.J. Hall took an official visit to Florida this past weekend. Did the senior wide receiver commit to the Gators?

"I was close," Hall said. "Florida is my leader. I know I will take at least one more visit. But UF is going to make it hard. That visit better be as good as this one was or I will commit to the Gators for sure."

Hall is scheduled to visit Alabama (1-16) next weekend and LSU (1-23) the week after that. So what stands out about the Gators?

"Well first of all, the visit was great. I love the players and coaches because they already treat you like one of their own even though you are just there to visit. I already felt like part of their family. They just showed me a lot of love. Skyler (Thornton) was my host and we hung out with everyone. He really showed me a good time. I didn't know the coaching staff all that well but I feel I know them much better now. They are all real cool. Basically the people at the University of Florida all stand out."

Hall, 6-2 and 182 pounds, caught 26 passes for over 700 yards and scored 14 total touchdowns (3 kick returns) this season. A big question with Hall is his academic situation. Where does he stand right now?

"I tell you what, my grades are getting better and I am going to do what I have to do. I am not going to miss out on this opportunity."
