Okam talks about UF visit

Franklin Okam is one of the top defensive prospects from the state of Texas and this weekend he took an official visit to Florida. What were this thoughts about UF and the trip?

Franklin Okam, one of the nation's elite defensive tackle recruits, made his second official visit this past weekend. He visited Texas last month and he just got home from Florida.

"It went well," Okam said. "I was impressed with their medical facilities and that's what I want to study. They also have great football facilities and I like their coaching staff. They are all high energy guys. Jarvis (Moss) was my host and he wants me to be the second player from Texas on their roster. I told him I would certainly think about that. I also talked with a lot of the defensive linemen on the team and I am bigger already than most of those guys. But they need more and I think the playing opportunity is pretty good there."

Okam, from Dallas (Texas), is scheduled to visit Oklahoma (1-23) and Stanford (1-30) over the next two weekends. He would also like to squeeze in a visit to Oklahoma State.

"Right now I don't have a leader. The plan is to take all my visits and make a decision on Signing Day."

Oklahoma State and Florida will have in-home visits with Okam this week.
