Siler says yes to UF

Brandon Siler made his decision tonight during an in-home visit with UF Head Coach Ron Zook and Defensive Coordinator Charlie Strong. Siler committed to Florida over Maryland and Tennessee.

The Florida Gators picked up a key linebacker commitment from Brandon Siler. Siler, from Orlando (Fla.) Evans High School, picked the Gators over Maryland and Tennessee.

"I committed tonight," Siler said. "Coach Strong and Zook came by tonight. Florida is close to home and now my family can come and see me play. I also think Florida is about to take off and I want to be a part of that. I plan on working hard and getting ready because there will be an opportunity for me to play next season."

Siler also visited Maryland and Tennessee. Both the Terps and Vols offered and made him think through his decision.

"They are two great schools and the visits there were super. They certainly made the decision harder than I thought it would be. But it's over now. I am going to Florida. The stress is gone. Now I can play basketball and then go to work after the season."
