"I have 13 scholarship offers so far," said McKnight. "UCLA, Georgia Tech, Florida, Tennessee, Washington, and Notre Dame are some of the schools that have offered. Right now, I am completely open and pretty much considering everyone. I will look at the wide receiver position of each school, their QB situation and I want to play for a good team."
McKnight is a receiver with good size and speed. "I am able to read the defense and get off the line. I have good separation and great hands. I think I can do a little bit of everything out there."
McKnight is showing interest in three Southern schools. Here is what he had to say about those college football programs.
"Georgia Tech has a good team and they pass the ball a lot. Plus, I like their coaching staff. Florida is known for their wide receivers, they pass the ball and they have a very good team. I am still learning about Tennessee but I know they have a good team. UCLA is the only school I like in California. I think there is a better chance that I leave the state than stay."
McKnight said he hopes to set up his visits right after his football season. Last season as a junior, McKnight caught 62 balls for 1,188 yards and 15 touchdowns, with 4 punt returns for scores. He carries a 3.2 grade point average and has scored a 1020 SAT. McKnight runs in the 4.5 range and has a 36-inch vertical jump.
