Defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock will visit Florida in late January.

It is a very good year in the state of Ohio and one of the better prospects is defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock,. Pitcock, from Piqua, Ohio, has 10 writing offers thus far.

"Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Duke are some of the schools that have offered me," said Pitcock. "I have set up visits to Ohio State (11-30), Notre Dame (12-7), Penn State (1-11), Duke (1-18) and Florida (1-25). Ohio State is my leader but that is what I have seen the most so far. They are the home state team and I have been there. I like the tradition at Notre Dame and Penn State. At Duke, it is about their academics. I thought about going to a warm weather schools and I like Florida. Plus, I like the way they play defense. I want to take my visits and make a decision on what feels right."

Pitcock, 6-4 and 285 pounds, has 12 sacks on the season, even though he considers himself a better run stuffer.

"I play the run better. I am the type of player that plays until the whistle blows. I never quit and my motor never stops."

Pitcock has a 3.85 grade point average and he has already scored a 20 ACT. He bench presses 335, squats 600 and power cleans 320.
