Q&A with Dee Webb

True freshman cornerback Demetrice "Dee" Webb is the focus of today's interview. Many in Gator Nation are expecting Webb to be UF's next great corner, and with spring practice right around the corner, he took a couple minutes to answer some questions for FightinGators.com

FightinGators: Dee you learned a lot from a great departing class of corners, what has been your focus during the off season?
Dee Webb:
"Well I have really been trying to get bigger and faster. From the mental aspect, I have been brushing up on reading offenses and looking at our own playbook."

FG: What are your thoughts on the hiring of your old head coach at Jacksonville Ed White, Dan Disch?
DW: "We actually spoke this week. Coach Disch is a great guy who brings a lot of intensity to the table. He expects the most out of all of us and I think the players will react well."

FG: I know you were the host for Dawayne Grace. Have you spoken with him recently about Florida?
DW: "Dawayne expects to have the same impact I have had and more. He is coming in with the intentions of starting early, and contributing early in any way he can."

FG: What are your expectations both from a personal standpoint and team achievement?
DW: "Our main goal is to win it all. I feel that if we can win nationally, then all the personal goals will fall into place. That is what I want most this year."

FG: You just had your first taste of Southeastern Conference football this year. Who is your biggest rival?
DW: "Teams like Georgia and Tennessee are always tough to play against, but without a doubt it has to be Florida State University."

FG: Finally Dee, who is one receiver that you don't want to cover in a key situation?
DW: "It really doesn't matter who you match up on me. I can cover anybody and everybody."
