Speedy RB Likes Florida

John Johnson is one of the nation's fasest players.

One of the country's fastest football prospects is John Johnson from Houston (Tex.) Sam Houston High School. Johnson, 6-0 and 185 pounds, has been clocked running a 10.2 100 meters. On the season, he has rushed the ball 198 times for 1,795 yards and scored 20 touchdowns.

"I have good speed, can cut well, have great vision and I am explosive," said Johnson. "I think I have pretty good power and elusiveness as well."

Johnson currently likes Florida, Arkansas, LSU and Colorado. Here is what he had to say about each college football program.

"Arkansas has a great track program and they have honestly recruited me the hardest. Florida's offense does everything. I love it. They also have great coaches. LSU is close to home and I like their tradition and Colorado has a real good coaching staff.

I want to leave the state, get out and see the world. Track is important to me because I feel I have a future in track as well. I just want to take my visits and play in a nice offense."

Johnson placed third in the state 100 meters.
