Peach State OL Looking Out of State

Trey Dunmon was a standout player on a Hawkinsville Red Devil squad who captured the GA Class-A title in 2004. He is yet another very good OL prospect in this exceptionally deep group of linemen in the Peach State for '05. Which schools does he like currently?

"I like Tennessee, Florida, Nebraska, Arizona, and Vanderbilt. I don't have a leader yet," Trey Dunmon said.

What is Trey looking for most in a school?

"Probably the coaches. For example, I love Coach Zook and how he's hands on with everything. He's always in the middle of it all."

While Trey was undoubtedly beat upon during the rigors of the state playoffs, it may have actually been a reprieve from the battles he engaged in during practice against All-American DL Charles Johnson, and top '05 DT Brandon Perry. What did Dunmon take from those 1 on 1 practice wars?

"Playing against them just makes you better. When your going up against guys like Charles Johnson who are so fast, they're going to get around you at times and you just have to keep coming back until you beat him to the spot."

What memory will stick out for Trey when he thinks back about his state title run with HHS in 2003?

"I'm going to remember the revenge on Clinch County. I'm one of the worst losers around. I just get pissed about it. Some guys lose and start crying, but I just want to break something."

Dunmon has a major he'd like to study as well.

"I want to study education. I'd like to be a high school coach."

Before getting ready for the 2004 season in a few weeks, Dunmon will occupy his time by attempting to defend his region discuss championship that he won as a sophomore a year ago. Hawkinsville will return 16 starters off the title team of a year ago, and the Red Devils figure to be right back in championship race once again.
