"The Florida coach (Ron Zook) was at our school today. I didn't get to
see him, but my coach came and told me they offered me, Kalvin (Baker), and
Michael (Harness). I couldn't believe it. I wasn't expecting it at all,"
Zook made an impression at the Columbus High School with his arrival on Tuesday.
"He's the most personable coach I've ever met," said Pacelli Head Coach Kevin Pettis. "He came in and offered all three of my kids, Dunham, Kalvin (Kalvin Baker), and Michael (Michael Harness). He's the first head coach to come through this season, and we tried to keep it low key when he was here, but the whole campus knew when he was here. The whole place was kind of buzzing."
Dunham has the ability to play on either side of the ball. Right now, he looks like the best running back in the state of Georgia. What did Coach Zook have to coach Pettis?
"He told me when he was watching his film with me, 'I don't care where he's listed, he's running the ball at Florida'."
Have the Gators moved up on Dunham's favorite list?
"Everyone is even right now. I like Maryland, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, and Georgia Tech."
What stands out about each school on his list?
Maryland: "They're showing me a lot love. They're recruiting me very
Auburn: "They're one of the close schools. It's not real far from home."
Georgia: "It's the home state team, and it's not far from home either."
Florida: "It seems like a good place, and I know they have good players."
Florida State: "It's a great football environment down there."
Georgia Tech: "It's a great school, and it's close to home too."
What is Dunham looking for most in a school?
"I want a good environment, and a chance for playing time. I'll redshirt if I have to, but if I can play early I want to."
