"So far so good. I'm still waiting on my test scire bur I think I only needed 1 point extra on that," McIntosh Nicolas said.
Nicolas has tried hard to buckle down in the classroom.
"I've really been focusing on school. They told me that if I can make A's and B's this semester it will really help my chances to qualify."
As for now, McIntosh is very confident he'll be a Gator in a few months.
"I fully expect to qualify and play for Florida this season."
Although the standout corner is sure he'll be in Gainesville for the most part, UF's coaches have also formulated a backup plan.
"The coaches have talked to me about Dodge City Junior College in Kansas, and also one a little bit closer to home. The Dodge City coaches called me two days ago and said they were sending me the information just in case."
Nicolas should receive his results from his latest attempt at the ACT is just a few weeks.
