1st Two Offers and Favorites for Florida RB

Glen Coffee is excellent running back from Fort Walton Beach High School. The 6-1 and 205 pound running back, is receiving a lot of interest and currently holding two offers.

"I have offers from UCF (Central Florida) and Middle Tennessee State. LSU, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama are probably the top four teams showing the most interest in me," said Glen Coffee.

Coffee is considering several schools.

"Right now I like LSU, Florida, UCF, Auburn, and Alabama. I would say my top three is UCF, Florida, and LSU."

LSU: "I went to LSU for their orientation and met all the coaches. I really liked all of them. They are the national champions and I really liked all of their facilities."

Florida: "I really like the area. It's close to home. I have met the coaches and really like them."

UCF: "I am pretty high on UCF. I took an unofficial visit and I was very impressed. I love Orlando. They have a lot of money down there and are really starting to build up some new facilities."

Auburn: "I just really enjoy seeing them play."

Alabama: " I don't really know much about Alabama. My friend, D.J. Hall, ('04 signee), plays there. I will check them out."

Coffee has known Alabama wide receiver, D.J. Hall, since middle school.

"I have always known D.J (Hall). We played against each other in middle school and then we played against each other in high school. He is better friends with Raph. (Raphael Ousley, teammate of Coffee's) I have not talked to D.J since he left. Raphael and I have been talking about playing together in college. We might consider it. We will just have to see how things go," said Coffee.

Coffee is ready to play his senior year and wait on his decision. "I will probably wait until after my senior season before I make a decision. I will probably take official visits to LSU, Florida, Florida State, and probably Alabama, Auburn, or maybe West Virginia."

The star running back will be looking at several aspects before making a decision.

"Probably a lot of it will be on location and how much I like the coaching staff. I want to feel at home. PT (playing time) will also play a big part."

During the summer, Coffee did make several calls

"I have called just about every coach in the south. I have not talked to anyone in a week. I am going to wait until the first of September before I start calling again."

Coffee is not hesitate in talking about his strengths.

When asked, Coffee replied, "I have the ability to do everything. I can catch, run, and block. I can run up the middle or from side to side." Ft. Walton Beach High School is looking to go deep in the play-offs.

"We are looking really good. We have everybody back from last year's team. We lost in the first round of the state playoffs, but we expect to win the state championship this year," said Coffee.

As a junior, Coffee rushed for 850 yards with seven touchdowns and 275 yards receiving with four touchdowns.
