Reid Fleming is off the market

Former Florida linebacker Reid Fleming is officially off of the market. Ladies, you can take those eye catching dresses back to the specialty shop. The dark sunglasses used to catch a glimpse of Panama City's most wanted bachelor can be saved for strolling along the beach…by yourself.

Fleming asked the lovely Miss Jesse Hatch of Branford to marry him last Friday night in Gainesville. Jesse is the daughter of Chuck and Amby Hatch of Branford. Chuck Hatch was a captain for the Gators during the 70's. He was the recipient of the 1979 Fergie Ferguson Award.

Jesse's brother, Eddie, was a Florida walk-on, who played in 11 games last season at fullback and on special teams. He left the team to focus more on his coursework in economics. It was through Eddie that the two met. Reid and Eddie were good friends the past few years on the team. Reid met Jesse and the pair were friends who eventually began dating.

Jesse is majoring in Event Planning at the University of Florida. She'll put those skills to a major test next spring, as the couple plans for the beautiful wedding in Gainesville.

As for Fleming, the four year letter winner will complete his coursework next spring with a degree in Advertising. Fleming said that he may choose to pursue coaching opportunities over the next several months, should the right situation come along. He is the son of Robert and Jan Fleming of Panama City.

It's a dark day for females all over Florida, except one lovely young lady named Jesse. Word is that Jesse recorded a blistering forty time outrunning everybody for Fleming. She too must be breaking hearts all over the Sunshine State…because he didn't even think about letting go!! She's the bomb.

Everybody involved would like to take the opportunity to thank Todd Johnson for bringing this to light. Yes, the same Todd Johnson who told Coach Zook once that Fleming wanted to date his daughter. The same Todd Johnson who told Zook another time that Reid wanted to say the team prayer. Both of which completely took Reid by surprise. So, if the local stores are out of Joker masks this Halloween, just dress your kid up like Todd Johnson. Gators #26. Bears #32.

Gators everywhere wish Reid and Jesse life, love and happiness in all that they experience. Best wishes always. And may your children follow your footsteps proudly wearing the Orange and Blue. It's Great to be a Florida Gator!! Indeed.
