GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kickoff for the University of Florida football game scheduled for Saturday, September 11th vs. Eastern Michigan has been moved to 1 p.m., the athletic department announced Wednesday morning.

"We thought it would be in the best interest of our fans to play the game earlier in the day," said Athletics Director Jeremy Foley. "With the state of Florida still feeling the effects of Hurricane Frances, one of our top priorities needs to be the safety of our fans. Based on information we have received, it will be much safer for those traveling to the game to come and go in the daylight rather than the evening."

The game, which was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., will still also be available on pay-per-view. Fans should contact their local cable/satellite company for further details.

Tickets are still available for sale at the ticket office. Drop by or call them at (352) 375-4683.
