Zook wary of trip to Mississippi State
Mississippi State is 1-5 with losses to Vanderbilt and Division I-AA Maine. Florida coach Ron Zook is trying to make sure his players don't believe that Saturday's game in Starkville, Miss., will be as easy as last week's game against Middle Tennessee State.

Zook Not Hoping For More Cowbell
The mere mention of cowbells brings back a flood of bad memories for Florida coach Ron Zook.

Bulldogs Getting Injured Players Back
Mississippi State coach Sylvester Croom had plenty of news to share Monday.

Bad Bulldogs will get it right under Croom
veryone knew it wasn't going to be easy for Sylvester Croom. Nobody thought it would be this difficult. When Mississippi State opened its season with a victory over Tulane, Starkville was buzzing. Since that game, the Bulldogs have lost three Southeastern Conference games by a combined score of 125-27. And one of them was to Vanderbilt, the Commodores' only win this season.

Zook warns against complacency
Sophomore tailback DeShawn Wynn's performance in the win over Middle Tennessee State has earned him more playing time and carries.

Wynn to see more action at RB
DeShawn Wynn's performance against Middle Tennesee State didn't go unnoticed. On Monday, UF coach Ron Zook said that Wynn's 81-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Blue Raiders might have propelled him into a larger role as the Gators prepare to play three consecutive games on the road.

Decisions near on redshirt status
As Florida's season surpasses the midway point, the redshirt status of several true freshmen remains in question, Coach Ron Zook said.

On the Road
The Florida-Mississippi State game marks the first of three straight games away from home for the Gators.

2005 preseason may get tougher
Billy Donovan looks to take advantage of a rule that allows Div. 1 teams to spar in the preseason.

QB brings balance to Donovan
If defense wins championships, then perhaps that explains the UF basketball team's inability to advance beyond the second round of the NCAA Tournament since its 2000 championship game appearance.

High jumper leaps into stardom
Things were a little different for Mike Morrison when he went to class Monday at the University of Florida. He was suddenly a recognizable face. And a very popular man.
