Fred Taylor, Jacksonville Jaguars The award this week goes to Fred Taylor, hands down. Taylor had his second consecutive 100-yard game and third in the past four games, gaining 103 yards on 21 attempts. He also had another 20 yards on three receptions. Unfortunately Taylor's performance was not enough to lead the Jaguars to victory as they lost to the Tennessee Titans, 18-15.
JACK YOUNGBLOOD AWARD: Top Defensive Performer Andra Davis, Cleveland Browns Davis had yet another good week on defense with seven tackles, one assist, and one sack against the New York Jets on Sunday. While the Browns lost, 10-7, Davis continued to show why he is a key part to the Browns defense.
MR. TWO BITS AWARD
Travis Taylor, Baltimore Ravens While Taylor did not exactly have a spectacular game numbers wise --- he had six receptions for 68 yards --- his play did earn him a spot in the Ravens record books. His receptions this game made him the Ravens career leader for receptions at 196. He passed Qadry Ismail, who previously held the record with 191.
I WISH I WERE BACK IN HOGTOWN...
Kelvin Kight, Green Bay Packers The Green Bay Packers placed Kelvin Kight on waivers this week. Kight had previously been placed on the Packers inactive list during Week 10.
THAT'S WHY HE WENT TO U-MIAMI ...
Clinton Portis, Washington Redskins Portis had an extremely dismal outing this past weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles, only gaining 37 yards on 17 carries. Perhaps Portis can only have good games playing against other teams that are even more awful than his own or so maligned with injuries that my grandmother could have a 100-yard rushing game.
CALLING DR. PETE
Looks like we won't be in need of Dr. Pete this week as there are no new injuries to report.
