"It feels so great. We finally made it. The first one ever. My senior year. Last game. Of course we expected it at the beginning of the year. Hard work and heart won this one. I"m going to go on to college. I'm open. I get letters from UCF, USF, Pittsbugh and Notre Dame. Truman State offered me, but no one else.
Quarterback Anthony Johnson (6-0, 185, Sr., Ft. Meade): 5-8 for 103 yards and one touchdown; 11 rushes for 58 yards and one touchdown
"It feels real good. I can't get the smile off of my face. There were people down on us and told us we weren't going to make the first round of the playoffs. But, we stayed after practice everyday and the hurricanes. We stayed together as a family. We weren't just one man, we were a team. Everybody had a big part. We told the underclassmen that came up, that they would have a big part and they stepped it up for us."
"I'm planning on going to college and further my career. Georgia Southern said they need an option quarterback and I'll be perfect for it. Howard University wants me and the Citadel has been after me for a while"
Fullback/Linebacker Henry Grace (6-0, 210, So., Ft. Meade): Two rushes for seven yards; 9 tackles, one forced fumble (second leading tackler)
"I played in this game as a freshman last year. I think that after last year we had the motivation to win it this year. We won it this year. (smiling) I'll play wherever the coaches want me to play. I like linebacker because they want me to blitz. They also want me to read. I'll lift during the summer so that I can get stronger and faster"
Running back Chance Attaway (5-10, 185, Jr., Blountstown): 21-198 and one touchdown rushing; 4 receptions for 42 yards
"We knew they were fast coming in. I don't know if we knew they were this fast. One we got on the field with them, we had to adjust for that. But, we turned the ball over and they didn't and they got it done when it counted. I just want to get back here. That was our goal at the beginning of the season and we didn't get it done. We're 14-1 and I'm not happy. 15-0 would have been better, but they got it done."
Quarterback Michael Guilford (6-1, 170, Jr., Blountstown): 6-16 for 96 yards, one touchdown and one interception; 9-34 rushing two touchdowns
"The footballs were different than the ones I'm used to throwing. But, next year our entire backfield is coming back. Lockhart and Copeland are coming back at wide receiver. We've got a few good offensive linemen who will be back too. We can get back here. I just feel so sorry for the seniors. They worked hard"
