RECRUITING: Tyller Roberts gets visit from Strong

Yesterday, we told you that Orlando Edgewater's Tyller Roberts would be getting a visit from Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong. We spoke with Roberts tonight and the arch-nemesis of All-American quarterback Mark Sanchez provided us with an overview of their meeting.

"Coach Strong came by and spent about 15 or 20 minutes with me today," he said. "The meeting was great. He also spoke with Matt Hardrick and Quinton Brown. He told me to keep working hard on my test score. If I can raise my score (ACT) four or five points I shouldn't have any problems. I'm working now with a teacher at my school who is tutoring me.

"He (Strong) told me that they're looking to sign four or five defensive backs, and that I have the ability to come in and compete for some time right away. I'm scheduled to take the next test on February 9th. I want to get the score and go, especially if it's Florida"

Tyller Roberts is a 6-1, 190-pound cornerback who intercepted two passes in the CaliFlorida All-Star Game at the Orange Bowl last Sunday evening, spurring Florida to a 24-22 win over California.
