RECRUITING: Gresham Enjoys Visit to Gainesville

Darryl Gresham is a name at linebacker that the Gators have been pursuing for some time now. A legacy to Florida athletics, Gresham's father played basketball for the Gators in the 70's. Now that it is the younger Gresham's turn at big time college, will the Gators be his selection as well?

Gresham, a three star defensive prospect from Virginia, is currently a soft commitment to the Virginia Cavaliers. He traveled to Gainesville on Friday for an official visit. What did he think?

"When I got there we ate lunch and then went and looked at the field for a bit. I hung out with Brandon Siler. We hung around for a while. The next day we went to some meetings with academic advisors, talked with the coaches a little, and hung out with the players some more," Gresham said as he walked us through his visit weekend.

What did Gresham think of Coach Meyer, the staff, and his host, Brandon Siler? "It was nice [the staff]. Siler, he's a class act. He's a nice guy."

Gresham told GatorCountry that he's undecided at the moment. "I'm also looking at Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Tennessee. I'm not deciding anything until signing day." He also said that is was possible that he may take visits to all three, but was uncertain as of now. Gresham's parents did not make the trip, but his father did offer some advice. "He's just saying it's my decision because I have to go to that school. It's my decision."

Gresham also shared that depth charts and playing time would certainly be a factor in his decision.

Gresham is a top target for Coach Meyer with the needs at linebacker. Let's see if he can reel him in.
