Meriweather Down to Two

Super safety Brandon Meriweather is trying to decide where he will play his college football. The senior from Apopka is one of the hottest prospects right now in the Southeast.

One of the rising prospects at the moment is safety Brandon Meriweather. Meriweather, from Apopka, Florida, lead his team to the state title and a 14-1 record. After officially visiting Miami, South Carolina and Florida, Meriweather says he is done with his visits and trying to make a decision.

"I canceled my visit to Florida State (1-25)," said Meriweather. "I have narrowed it down to Florida and Miami. I visited Florida last weekend and I had a good time. The players are together like a team should be. I also like Gainesville.

"Miami has great team chemistry as well and I love their academics. I really do not have a timetable for a decision. Whenever it comes to me, I will make the decision. I hope to have it done as soon as possible."

Meriweather, the cousin of former Apopka star Jeremi Rudolph, had an in-home visit with Florida today (Wednesday) and has not set up one with Miami yet.
