Granger eliminates UF

SAN ANTONIO— The transition of coaching staffs in Gainesville has been a roller coaster recruiting ride. The Gators have added a plethora of prospects to their board, but the process has also had its bumps in the road.

One of the more recent bumps has been stud defensive tackle Demarcus Granger. Granger, 6-3, 315-pound beast from Dallas, Texas, recently came out on the victorious side of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game.

"I had fun the whole week just meeting new people and finding out who was going where," Granger said. "I made a lot of friends out here."

Granger's final list of schools are Arizona State, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, he said. Being comfortable and getting a diploma are the two things that he is looking for in a school the most, Granger added.

"Florida is a great school, but they just got in the mix for me a little too late," Granger said. "They got some great coaches over there as well."
