Quinton Brown Moves UF Up To #2

Offensive lineman, Quinton Brown (6-6, 270, Scout.com 3 stars), of Orlando-Edgewater visited the University of Florida this weekend. He is keeping an open mind about the Gators, but doesn't have UF in first place on his list.

"The trip was real nice and I had a good time," offered Brown. "My host was Michael Brown (freshman defensive tackle from Atlanta) and we had a lot of fun."

Brown is not ready to make a decision. He's got another official visit to take before he will arrive at a decision.

"There's a possibility that I will be Gator but I am not going to make any decisions until after I take all my visits," he said. "I'm going to South Carolina next week and then I'll probably make my announcement on national signing day."

Although he seemed to enjoy the visit and had positive things to say, when asked to rate his visit, Brown said, "I'd give it a seven and a half."

Brown has it down to three schools and the Gators are in his top three. He lists NC State, Florida and Florida State in that order as his favorites.

He says, "NC State is number one because right now I feel the most comfortable with them. I like the coaches a lot and all the players are really cool."

GATOR COUNTRY TAKE: The Gators made up a lot of ground this weekend with Quinton Brown. This looks like a down to the nubs decision on signing day, but an in-home visit by Coach Urban Meyer could decide it for UF.
