RECRUITING: No commitment yet from Quentin Taylor

Apopka linebacker Quentin Taylor visited Gainesville this weekend and while he termed it a good visit, he's not quite ready to make his decision.

"No team is at the top right now," said Taylor, a 6-1, 205-pounder who is rated three stars by "I will have a decision probably Wednesday."

Taylor plays a position that is critical for Florida's recruiting efforts. He is a quality player with speed and a tremendous upside.

He was hosted by SEC Freshman Defensive Player of the Year, Brandon Siler, and he enjoyed everything about the visit.

"The visit was great, he said. "I liked the players a lot. I liked all of the coaches and the stadium was my favorite part."

Although it was expected that Florida would get an immediate commitment from Taylor, he said, "No, I haven't made a decision yet."

Maybe this is going to shape up as a stress test for Gator fans. There are several players, including Taylor, who could commit to UF or somewhere else in the next three days. All the linebackers on the Florida board are highly sought by other schools.

GATOR COUNTRY TAKE: Even though there is no commitment from Quentin Taylor, you have to figure Florida is in good shape here.
