Florida Gator Basketball

Freshmen are up against the wall
It was a simple question, one converted in New York City street parlance as "How Ya Doin'?"

Moss back in action
Florida junior Adrian Moss understands the risks involved with attempting to play through a herniated disc in his back.

UF forward rebounds from harrowing pain
Adrian Moss struggled to find the right analogy.

Florida Gator Baseball

McArthur finally has his debut
It was a long journey for Brandon McArthur to find his way into a game at McKethan Stadium. He went from a near-death incident in late 2003 to being in Florida's opening-day baseball lineup Friday night.

FAMU keeping Miami series on backburner
After winning their opening weekend series in a somewhat sloppy fashion, the Gators host Florida A&M tonight at McKethan Stadium. UF will attempt to solidify its defense and jump-start the bats in a game that features two young starting pitchers.

Florida Gator Tennis

Illinois Upsets UF, Remains Undefeated
The 5th-ranked Fighting Illini once again showed on Saturday night, Feb. 12, that the young guns can play, as they knocked off No. 3 Florida for the fourth straight time, 7-0 in front of 751 fans at the Atkins Tennis Center. Illinois kept its undefeated record (5-0) and 37-match home win streak intact with triumph over the Gators. Since 2003, the Illini are now an amazing 16-1 against top-10 opponents. Given the recent success of the program the past few years, tonight's win marks first against a higher ranked opponent since 2002, when No. 6 Illinois beat No. 1 Georgia 4-1, at the ITA National Indoor Championship.
