Florida fought to win the doubles point, however, for the second time this week, the Bruins came back on the singles court to win the match. In doubles play, Florida's Vladimir Obradovic and Chris Brandi scored an 8-3 win over sixth-ranked Alberto Francis and Kris Kwinta. On the top court, UF's Hamid Mirzadeh and Greg Ouellette dropped a 9-7 decision to seventh-ranked Ben Kohlloeffel and Luben Pampoulov, leaving the point to be decided on court three. The Florida tandem of Ryan Sherry and Jordan Dolberg came away with a 9-7 win of their own against UCLA's Mathieu Dehaine and Philipp Gruendler to put UF on top, 1-0.
On the singles courts, Kwinta evened the match with a 6-1, 6-1 win on court five against UF's 46th-ranked Nestor Briceno. At the top of the order, 14th-ranked Pampoulov returned to the court after UCLA's loss on Friday to Virginia to defeat Mirzadeh, 7-5, 6-1.
