"Alabama had a nice round today and proved they could handle the wind," Head Coach Buddy Alexander said. "They sit atop the leaderboard, and despite our putting troubles today, we're not out of it. We'll work on that this afternoon and hopefully we'll get a few more to fall tomorrow."

The Gators enter the final round of play six strokes back of Alabama, which carded the team-best round of 291 today despite the windy conditions to move into the top spot with a 12-over par team total of 588.
