MEN'S HOOPS: Roberson named 1st Team All-SEC

For the second consecutive year Anthony Roberson earned First Team All-SEC honors, as he was on the five-member squad as voted on by the Associated Press, while teammate David Lee earned Second Team honors.

Roberson became the first Gator since Udonis Haslem to earn back-to-back First Team honors. Roberson led the SEC in scoring in league play at 20.8 points per game and was the only player in the league to score at least 15 points in all 16 conference games.

Roberson had eight games of 20-plus points, including 21 points and a pair of game-winning free throws in the Gators' victory over Kentucky on Sunday. Roberson's steal of Patrick Sparks set up his game-winning free throws.

Joining Roberson on the First Team were SEC Player of the Year Brandon Bass of LSU, Chuck Hayes of Kentucky, Lawrence Roberts of Mississippi State and Kennedy Winston of Alabama.

Lee became the first Gator since 1990 to average a double-double in SEC play, as the senior forward averaged 13.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. He was joined on the Second Team by Kelenna Azubuike of Kentucky, SEC Newcomer of the Year Glenn Davis of LSU, Earnest Shelton of Alabama and Ronnie Brewer of Arkansas.

Third Team members were Chuck Davis, Ronald Steele and Jermareo of Alabama, Patrick Sparks of Kentucky, Carlos Powell of South Carolina and Toney Douglas of Auburn.

Tubby Smith of Kentucky was named SEC Coach of the Year.
