RECRUITING: Rolle looking to commit in August

Princeton (N.J.) defensive back Myron Rolle (6-2, 210, 4.5) is getting tired of the recruiting process and is looking forward to getting it out of the way by announcing a commitment some time in August. While he still denies any favorites out of 50 coast-to-coast offers, he talked about several schools, including one in the state of Florida that's recruiting him the hardest.

"I'm still looking to commit to a program by the end of August to get all of this recruiting out of the way," said Rolle, from The Hun School.

"I don't think it's going to be a rush decision. I've definitely got all of my bases covered with these schools to make an informative decision.

"I still really like programs like Florida, Oklahoma, Florida State, Michigan, Penn State and Miami. Last time we spoke, I had both Texas and Georgia in there too, but getting out there for a visit this summer is not an option for me. I don't consider them in there anymore at this time," he said.

"Education is very important to me and I want to go to a school where I'll have a good college experience. That's going to depend on the players, town and people there.

"Florida is the one program that is recruiting me the hardest. I was out there on June 4 for an unofficial visit and I had a great time there. Coach (Urban) Meyer sends me a lot of text messages and handwritten letters expressing his interest in me. And it's not just him on that staff that's shown me a lot of interest. I've spoken with about four or five of the coaches there over the phone and they've all been great to talk to.

"I believe that coach (Bob) Stoops from Oklahoma is a great coach. I've got a great relationship with him, going on three years now. Oklahoma football is really good and their program is always on the up and up. They've also got some great fan support.

"Florida State has been a childhood favorite of mine and I've seen a lot of great players come out of there in past years. They play with a lot of speed and aggressiveness and they're also recruiting me real hard. I'm going to get out there on August 5 for an unofficial visit.

"After that time, I'm going to sit down with my family and friends and go over all of the positives and negatives of these schools before I make my decision," he said.

"Michigan is also a great program that I'm considering. It's a little cold out there, but then again, so are a lot of the other programs out there. They're all very unique and interesting in their own way. I like how they send a lot of players to the NFL…especially a lot of DBs. I was at their camp last summer and I got to work with coach (Ron) English (secondary). He's a great coach and I still use his drills that he taught me at camp. They're also still in there for me.

"Penn State and Miami are also two great programs that I really like," he said.
