Gator Country to be featured on Sports Talk Live

This evening at 7pm (and repeats during the week), Sun Sports Talk Live is hosting a special segment on the internet's effect on football fans. Gator Country will be featured during the show, along with other panelists including our own Brady Ackerman.

Examining the Internet Culture in Sports on SportsTalk Live

Monday, August 1, 7pm on Sun Sports

Representatives from Florida's traditional and website media appear live in-studio to debate the issues and discuss the industry's impact on sports

HOT TOPIC: How has the Internet changed the way the media covers and fans follow sports? STL panelists examine the Internet sports culture and the similarities and differences between reporting for 'traditional' media (print, radio, TV) vs. 'new' media (websites, chat rooms and message boards).

Sun Sports' Whit Watson hosts a special roundtable discussion and is joined by media guests Mike Bianchi (Orlando Sentinel columnist), Pat Dooley (Gainesville Sun, columnist), Steve Ellis (Tallassee Democrat, FSU beat writer), Brady Ackerman (Sun Sports and ESPN Radio 900), Jim Lamar, Marty Cohen, and Sean Delaney (Miami-Hurricanes.com).

A special feature segment profiles Raymond Hines, III, creator and owner of GatorCountry.com, a popular UF website supplying the latest recruiting news to an ever-growing subscriber base. Hines, who does not let a severe hearing loss stop him from pursuing his passion, talks about the growth he's seen over the years, the future of his business and how recruiting really is what drives his site. Gator fans know his site, but they probably have no idea about the man behind it and how it operates. A fascinating feature every Gator fan will want to watch.
