RECRUITING: Four Star DT Antwine likes the Gators

Texas defensive tackle Brandon Antwine (6-0, 271, 5.0) still says his top three schools are USC, Florida and Oklahoma--followed by Miami and Wisconsin. All have offered according to Antwine.

"I'm going to call the coaches at these programs and start setting up my official visits to them tomorrow (9/8)," said Antwine, from Garland High School in Garland.

"I don't have any dates set up yet but I'd like to get some officials done this month I know.

"I like the tradition at USC and how they've gotten off to such a strong start. I'm proud to see them doing well. I get a really good vibe from coach (Urban) Meyer at Florida, and I know that he's going to lead them to do well this season. I don't know if Oklahoma's loss to TCU was a fluke, but I didn't think that was supposed to happen. That doesn't change my feelings for Oklahoma because you win some and you lose some…every team loses sometime," he said.

"Those three programs are still at the top of the list for me. I'm still also really liking Miami, and now, Wisconsin. They've replaced Nebraska in my top five. I get a good vibe from the program at Nebraska, but it's not the kind of place that I could see myself spending my college years at. I guess I just feel more welcomed at Wisconsin than I do at Nebraska.

"I haven't really heard from the coaches at the programs in my top five lately, but I'll be speaking with them tomorrow when I start setting up these officials," Antwine said. "I've been getting phone calls from the coaches at Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State though," he said.

Garland is 1-1 so far and Antwine has 18 tackles and three sacks.
