"It was good. Real good. We had the best seats in the house and they treated us real nice," Johnny Patrick said.

The DeLand star has yet to receive a scholarship offer from the Gators, but he spent some time with the coaches.

"The coaches told me I should be there and the food was great. I talked to pretty much all the coaches like Gonzalez, Urban Meyer, Charlie Strong and others. They just told me I should come down there and be a part of it."

He also enjoyed one of the newest Gator traditions -- The Gator Walk, in which the entire team, including the coaches, get off the busses just before the stadium and walk down the sidewalk between teeming masses of Gator fans high fiving them on their way into the stadium. Said Patrick of his experience: "The Gator Walk was real tight. Everybody liked it. The crowd was really into it."

He also enjoyed his experience in The Swamp, having witnessed a great slug-it-out match between the Gators and Volunteers. "I wouldn't mind playing in there. It's just a nice place to be at."

Johnny hung out with a couple of fellow recruits -- "I hung out with Reggie Odom and Tony Wilson. Reggie really liked it a lot. I think Tony just wanted to get out of the house. He's still going to Georgia."
