Profile 2003 – Shawn Stackhouse

"Letters just started pouring in for me.  There were letters inviting me to go to spring games and stuff like that.  I went to the Nike camp at Miami, so I could not go to any spring games.

"I did not do as well as I wanted to [at the Nike Camp]. I did all right. I did decent, but I always criticize myself.  It poured while we were up there.  It messed everyone's 40 times up."

On USF:  They've recruited a lot of our guys from Charlotte [Punta Gorda].  They've got one of those up and coming programs.

On UCF:  "The same reasons as USF.  They've got an up and coming programs."

On UF:  "It's a great awesome school.  They've got great teams, and great coaching. Our quarterback [Justin Midgett] is going to UF.  It would be fun to stay with him."

On FSU:  "Really the same thing as UF."

On Pitt:  "We got a lineman going to Pitt. That would be my only choice out of state.  And also everything at pitt is brand new.  The weight room, field house, all that stuff are all new facilities."
