RECRUITING: Walls commits to Notre Dame

US Army All-American cornerback Darrin Walls made his decision today, announcing he will sign with Notre Dame to play football in 2006. The four-star cornerback was highly recruited and recently announced a final four of Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh.

The 6-1, 180 pound Walls sped up the recruiting process and has already made official visits to Pittsburgh (Sept. 3), Michigan (Sept. 9), and Florida (Sept. 17). He is still expected to take his official trip to Notre Dame on (Oct. 15).

The physical and dexterous Walls is a lock down corner and will make a fine addition to the Fightin' Irish recruiting class. His ability to shut down the best receiver on the field is as good as any in the country.
