RECRUITING: Jamil Paris has Gators on top

Jamil Paris is a lanky 6'7 DE prospect out of Sebastian River, FL. The Sunshine State recruit currently holds a pair of his offers from a couple of his favorite schools and he's looking for more.

"I like Florida, Ohio State, Kentucky, FAU and Florida State. I have offers from FAU and Kentucky," Jamil Paris said.

Urban Meyer's Gators have led for Jamil since the outset of recruiting and that has not changed.

"Florida is my favorite school. I went to their Friday Night Lights camp and then another one after that. I just love it up there. It's really nice up there and they say they are recruiting defensive ends the most this year. I would love to play up there."

What does he like about each of the other teams still in contention?

Ohio State: "My recruiting coach is a real down to earth guy and they call a lot."

Kentucky: "They say they're ready for me to come in and play right away. I could play really early up there."

Florida Atlantic: "It's close to home really. I was talking to their coach today and he told me that sometimes it's better to be a big fish in a small pond."

Florida State: "That was like my favorite team growing up. They send me a lot of letters."

The Gators have really turned the heat up on Paris.

"I would say Florida is recruiting me the hardest. I get a whole lot more text messages, phone calls and e-mails from Coach Gonzalez than any other coach."

He has set his first two official visits.

"On December 2nd I go to Kentucky and then the week after that on December 9th, I go to Ohio State."
