Brown is averaging 10 yards per carry as Heard County's quarterback but it's at running back where he figures to play at the next level. He played running back as a junior, scoring 20 touchdowns while rushing for more than 1,200 yards. There are a lot of schools recruiting him and he's still in the process of sorting out the offers.
"Right now I don't have any favorite schools," he said. "I'm still open."
Brown has made unofficial visits to Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Tennessee. Other schools on his list include Florida and Miami. Brown was in Knoxville last weekend for the Tennessee-Georgia football game.
Brown is looking for a university that he can get on the field right away. Hed also says, "I'm just looking for a good fit, some where I can fit in with the guys."
Fitting in as a running back means he is "looking at programs like Georgia Tech, and Georgia. I want to look at any school that is getting the ball to their running backs. I mainly want to go to a school where I get a lot of touches."
Brown will put a plan in place this weekend, to solidify his future. "I am sitting down with my parents and we are going to schedule all of my official visits this weekend."
The 6-0, 195-pounder with 4.57 speed knows he has to keep his life properly balanced in order to maintain his four-star rating in the classroom and on the football field. "I just look at it like you've got to get it done school comes first," he said.
