RECRUITING: Havili hears from Coach Meyer

It appears even though miles apart, University of Florida head coach Urban Meyer is still not willing to forget the state that made him famous: Utah.

One of the state's most highly touted prospects, Stanley Havili, recently heard from the Gators' head man, and liked what he heard.

"Coach Meyer began calling me two weeks ago," said Havili. "I like what I have heard, and they seem real close to offering me."

Will Havili set an official visit?

"I'd say there is a possibility; a strong possibility; that I do that," continued Havili.

Havili last took an official visit to the University of Iowa where he was hosted by his cousin and Scout.com Class of 2005 #1 ranked tight end in the nation, Tony Moeaki.

"I'm still very high on Iowa, but the coaches and I just haven't been able to hook up on the phone the last couple weeks. I just actually got off the phone with Tony, though. He keeps asking me why I don't just commit to Iowa right now, but I keep telling him to, first, let me worry about a state championship," stated Havili.

No other official visits have been set, yet, but Havili continued to mention Cal as a possibility for an upcoming visit. He also stated that he remains in contact with Arizona State, and the Sun Devils remain under strong consideration after receiving his first official visit.
