With his senior season now over, Scout.com 3-star receiver prospect Johnny Patrick has turned his attention more towards finding his next school and recently scheduled two official visits.
"I'm going to take a couple in December," he said on Thursday. "I'm going to visit Louisville (12/16) and NC State (12/9). Those are the only two that I have set up right now."
Patrick said he's also considering a few others for potential trips.
However, unless those three programs - or any of the many others seeking the services of the 6-foot, 180-pound Deland (Fla.) High School product - schedule a visit soon, Patrick says that two trips may be all he needs.
"I set those two up because they are my top two school's right now," he explained. "I just might go to those and then get it done. In fact, I might make my decision the Monday after I get back from the Louisville visit."
With a hint that a decision could be just weeks away, Patrick said it's Bobby Petrino's offense that has kept his interest in the U of L program throughout the recruiting process.
"Louisville has a real good team," he said. "I love that they know how to win and that they can score like 60 points. They have a Heisman type quarterback and he'll still be there for a couple years."
As a senior at Deland (Fla.) High School Patrick hauled in 15 catches for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also rushing 82 times for 765 yards and 12 touchdowns.
