The Gators (26-2) advance to Saturday's first semifinal match where Florida will face No. 4 seed Arkansas (20-10) at 4:30 p.m. (ET).

Florida improved its game record to 117-13 vs. the Bulldogs (10-17) under Mary Wise, while UF's record in the SEC Tournament stands at 40-3 in Wise's tenure as the Gators are looking to win their 12th tournament title in the last 14 seasons.

"It's a great way to start the tournament to be productive on both the offensive and defensive sides," Florida coach Mary Wise said. "We're at our best when we can go from defense to offense and we did that today. We also passed awfully well."

Sophomore outside hitter Marcie Hampton (Gainesville, FL) also fared well for Florida with a season-best tying 13 kills on .458 hitting, while sophomore setter Angie McGinnis (Fraser, MI) added 44 assists, seven kills on 1.000 hitting and three blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Kari Klinkenborg (Highlands Ranch, CO) added a career-best six blocks and five kills with senior outside hitter Jane Collymore (Englewood, CO) totaling 14 kills and six digs.
