RECRUITING: Video of 2007 QB Nesbitt

Josh Nesbitt has led his Greene County team to the Georgia Dome to take on defending State Champion Charlton County Friday at 9:00 AM. Charlton County is no stranger to great athletes; they have a superstar of their own in wide receiver/defensive back Justin Williams. However, it's been several years since the state of Georgia has seen a talent like Junior Quarterback Josh Nesbitt.

Josh Nesbitt could be recruited at several positions regardless of how he throws a ball. He looks like the road runner out on the field running by people and blowing away angles.

Conversely, if he were a slow footed, immobile player, he would still get recruited, because of his rocket right arm.

Nesbitt has several weapons in which to get the ball to. He is a pass first quarterback that uses his elusiveness to buy time to hit the big play downfield. And big plays come in bunches with Nesbitt. On the first clip, you will see Nesbitt complete back to back passes in which he throws the ball 55 yards in the air.

Included in the highlight package are all kinds of throws that Nesbitt makes including slants, posts, fades, corners, swing passes, and screens. In short, Josh Nesbitt can do it all.

Watching him play against Wesleyan where he accounted for 552 yards of total offense, it was hard not to think of another Georgia quarterback that suits up on Sundays in Atlanta, but I swore I'd never compare a high school player to Michael Vick. I'm not going to start now. How about a faster version of Ryan Perrilloux? Would that work?

See for yourself in this ScoutTV* presentation. Then head to the Georgia Dome on Friday Morning to take in the player that I consider the best in the state right now.

That's a bold statement that I'm not usually apt to make, especially for a junior, but Nesbitt is on another level.

These highlights were taken from just two games. The first is against Wesleyan, and Nesbitt posted 552 yards of total offense and seven touchdowns. The second was against Laney, and Nesbitt again shows a deft passing touch to go along with the remainder of his physical tools.
