RECRUITING: 3 down, 2 to go for DE Wesley

Steven Wesley emerged into the national recruiting map during the summer. He was being watched by a number of major programs and then he really turned some heads during his senior season. He finished the year with 70 tackles and 10 sacks.

"A lot of schools wanted to watch my first couple games," Wesley said. "I knew a lot of people were gonna be watching. I ended up with some offers during the season because of it. Miami offered me in the middle of the season."

Steven Wesley, 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, is finished with his senior season and he's already taken three of his recruiting visits.

"I've been to Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Alabama," he said. "Ohio State was good. They play great defense and it's a great atmosphere there. Ole Miss, I just felt like I was at home. I was real comfortable there. Alabama was probably the best visit. The stadium was really loud. The atmosphere was amazing. I got along with the players and the coaches were really nice. I feel like I fit in really well there."

Two visits remain for the talented defender, who already has passing test scores to get into college.

"I've got Miami for December 9 and then Florida on January 20," he said. "I think I fit in real well at Florida. I've been talking to them all year. That's my last visit so it'll be good to compare. Miami, well it's Miami. It speaks for itself. They know how to win and they're good at putting guys into the NFL. I dont know a whole lot about them right now though so my visit will be important for that."

Wesley isn't ready to single out any favorites at this point and he plans on taking all five visits before making a final decision.

"I'll take these last two and probably make my decision around signing day," he said. "Right now they're all even. It's just a matter of where I feel like I fit in the best."
