RECRUITING: Reshad - "UF is a great school"

Reshad Jones, of Washington High School in Atlanta, had a spectacular senior year. Playing on both offense and defense, he has been very impressive on both sides of the ball. His talent is being sought after by the likes of LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami, and Florida.

Jones has not listed the schools in any particular order and believes that the schools all have his attention. "I have not rated the schools -- I view them all as good programs that gives me a chance to get on the field my freshman year," he said.

Jones has developed a good relationship with Associate Head Coach/Safeties John Holliday. "Coach Holliday calls me once a week; he tells me how much they would like me to commit to The University of Florida."

Jones is being recruited as a safety and thinks he would fit into Florida's defense well. "I like the fact that they have a safety graduating and that they allow their safeties to play aggressively."

"Florida is a great school -- I like the coaches and I believe the program is heading in the right direction," said Jones. "I believe I will have a chance to get playing time and that is what I am looking to do -- come in and play."

Florida Head Coach Urban Meyer is a coach Jones would not mind playing for. Jones says, "Coach Meyer is a coach that has gotten a lot of national attention. He has taken over the Florida program and re-energized it."

The Florida Gator coaches are always stressing academics to many of the recruits, including Jones. "Coach Holloway has talk to me about academics at Florida. He has told me that it is my number one priority in attending Florida."

Jones has made some friends on the recruiting trail that he has stayed in touch with. "I have talked to Carlos Brown and Morrice Richardson sometimes. We talk about us all attending the same schools sometimes."

Jones' senior year has been an exciting one for Washington High School where he has recorded 66 tackles and two interceptions on defense. He also scored 15 touchdowns on offense. "There is not one particular game that stands out for me I believe the entire season was special." said Jones.

Jones has more official visits to take, including one to Miami on December 16th. At this point, Jones says he will not make his decision anytime soon. "I'm going to try to carry it out until signing day," says Jones.
